If you like bicycling, Copenhagen is the place for you. Biking is the main method of transportation there.
Bicycling roads are obstacle-free and they cover the entirety of the capital. The Danish planned Copenhagen’s motorways with cyclists in mind, so it’s natural that in the winter, the bike roads are the first ones to be cleared if they have frozen over.
In fact, most people get to work by biking. The sandy beaches are also very close to the heart of the city, so they’re within reach, too. Add this to the fact that the cleanest tap water is available in Denmark, and you can quickly see why it has been one of the world’s happiest countries for years.
